The Diversity Toolkit is a series of  absolutely free lesson plans to help you embed education for diversity in your curriculum.

Over  7,000 children and 300 teachers from 25 schools took part in Primary Colours'' Journeys Project over the last two years. Each school developed lesson plans as a follow up to our in-school work with them.

We''ve brought together a selection of the best lesson plans in the sections below.  Each plan includes full curriculum links, examples of children''s work, video from the teachers who wrote the lessons outlining the benefits to their children.  Our Curriculum Director Shazia Azhar has created a standard layout for each lesson plan which you can read online or download as a pdf document.

We''ll be adding new lesson plans every month so come back and see us regularly.

In order to access the toolkit we ask for your contact details so that we can keep in touch and let you know about exciting resources, Theatre in Education and INSET training that Primary Colours is developing to promote education for diversity.  We will not pass your details to any third parties.  This toolkit has been developed in partnership with Education Leeds and North East Lincolnsire Council.  We are grateful for funding from the lottery through the Arts Council.
